Welcome to Empowermums
From stressed out mama, to calm mama
Let's face it - being a mum is hard. It can be stressful, lonely and exhausting. You love your kids yet at the same time, you are starting to lose a sense of yourself. You don't like feeling angry and frustrated all the time, and yelling at your kids. You're putting yourself last and you may be getting close to burnout. You're thinking "Am I the only one that feels this way?"
You're not alone and it doesn't have to be this way. Empowermums offer psychological therapy, mindfulness workshops and wellness events for all mums. Whether you're a first time mum, solo mum, twin-mum, full time working mum, stay-at-home mum, veteran mum - you've come to the right place. This is where you'll get the support you need to be happier and calmer mum.
I'm Dr Missy Wolfman. As a Clinical Psychologist, I've been helping dozens of mums feel less alone, stressed and overwhelmed. I empower mums like you to feel calm, centred and connected with themselves and their kids.
I'm also a mum of twin girls which means I get it! I have hit rock bottom on my own motherhood journey after my daughter had a series of accidents and a minor skull fracture. I have felt depleted, defeated and exhausted. I started practicing what I teach to my clients such as mindfulness, self-compassion and gratitude. These strategies have helped me to enjoy motherhood and be the mum I want to be. I have been teaching these strategies to dozens of mums like you, and empower them to feel more calm and collected in the chaos and messiness of motherhood.
I look forward to connecting with you.

Feedback I’ve Received
I first encountered Missy at one of her Empowermums courses, and was impressed by her calm, relatable manner, so she was an easy choice when I needed some help with my anxiety. She brought that same gentle, no-nonsense energy to our individual sessions. I found her easy to talk to, and she gave me some helpful tools to work on managing my anxiety levels. I'd definitely reach out to her again in the future.
As a busy mum of two toddlers I was struggling to adjust with the huge changes that motherhood brought to my life and my anxiety was controlling me. Missy helped me to really understand those changes and work on managing my anxiety better. She had some wonderful tools and tips for both my anxiety and parenting. I found her super relatable being a mother herself and she made me feel comfortable from the very first session.
